For the first time the Fijiana Drua Women’s Rugby Team joined the Super W Women’s Rugby XVs competition. With support from the Australian Government’s PacificAusSports program, the Fijiana Drua were given the opportunity to join the competition, finishing the season with a thrilling season win in the grand final.
With most games in the East Coast of Australia and the current COVID-19 conditions, the team relocated to the Gold Coast Performance Centre to train, play, stay and recover for the 2022 season.
The team utilised the new high-performance gym, fields, recovery facilities and team rooms along with living in the onsite accommodation for 3 months.
