Congratulations to all who took part in this year’s Gold Coast Marathon.

In all there were more than 27,000 participants, and Kenyan runner Silah Limo – in his first ever marathon – smashed the course record by 45 seconds, and shaved four seconds off the fastest ever Australian marathon time set by Robert de Castella’s at the Brisbane Commonwealth Games in 1982. Speaking of Deek, we were thrilled to have him down at our VIP tent to mingle with our members and get a few happy snaps with our staff.

Our resident running coach Matt Whitehouse completed his first ever full marathon, and Marathon Marj who we featured in last week’s Super News let us know she and husband Mike finished slowly but surely, just before the cutoff time. Well done guys and everyone involved!
