Tobias is an accredited Exercise Physiologist whose focus is on improving the overall health, lifestyle, and quality of life for his clients. When asked what I am passionate about, and what drives me to do what I do, the answer for me is really quite simple. I have a fascination with the Human body and mind and figuring out what needs to be done to get the absolute best out of it. I am a strong believer that the Human Body and Mind are Adaptable machines, working to become more effective at whatever we choose to do with it. I can’t express enough how much I love leading my team here at Atkins Health and along with my clients (friends) to continually strive to better themselves, look at new innovative and creative ways of working towards their goals, and analysing everything to better understand what is going on. The areas I love working with are Lower back pain, lower limb dysfunction, gait analysis and retraining, weight loss, lifestyle management and athletes development. I look forward to seeing you around the BLK Performance Centre!

Matthew has had experience and successes working with multiple musculoskeletal conditions – the most common being back, hip and knee pain. He is currently involved in diabetes and weight management programs and has secondary professional development working with neurological conditions, giving him the foundations to create and establish a Parkinson’s disease program. Matthew is very passionate about improving his client’s health outcomes and reaching their goals.
I have always wanted to help people, it’s a huge part of who I am and what I stand for, but I never knew exactly how I was going to do that until I got to university. Physical activity has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been involved in team sports and solo sports for as long as I can remember and when I realised I could combine both my love of movement with helping people, that I knew for certain was what I was meant to be doing. I love working in a variety of fields, but i have a particular passion for neurological conditions such as MS and parksinsons, i love being able to help make peoples lives easier and better through improving the symptoms of their neurological conditions and slowing the progression of their disease. Another field i am deeply passionate about is women’s health, educating and helping women through their anti-natal journey is of high importance to me, from pre conception all the way through to post birth. One of my greatest accomplishment in life is seeing people come into my sessions unsure about just why they are seeing me, and then leave with an understanding of their own condition and actually motivated to help themselves. I thrive on building relationships with people where we work together as a team to improve their lives. Atkins health supports and promotes everything that I believe in; that education is important, that every single person is individual and that we help people. That is what motivates me to be an Exercise Physiologist.

Her areas of special interest include cancer, osteoporosis / falls prevention and womens health.
Julian is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who was initially drawn to the field due to a love of exercise and a desire to help others. He is a passionate advocate for resistance exercise to build strength, resilience and improve function in anyone experiencing any kind of chronic illness or disease who wants to better themselves. Julian is also a tragic Canterbury Bulldogs supporter, music lover and loves to crack a joke so come and say hi if you see him out in the BLK Performance Centre.
I grew up playing a lot of sport and developed a strong passion for health, exercise and caring for people and what better way to pursue my passions than in the field of clinical exercise physiology.
Main interest being within the spinal and neurological rehabilitation, I aim to influence the way fellow medico-professionals view exercise as being an integral part of clients treatment.
Jana is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist from Griffith University who also has years of experience as a strength & conditioning coach. Jana is a down to earth and a friendly practitioner who is very passionate about improving the health, fitness, and performance of his clients. Jana has experience working with a number of health conditions and is particularly interested in musculoskeletal areas such as arthritis, tendinopathy, bursitis, and osteoporosis. Jana has a thirst for knowledge in exercise science and is excited by new research. Jana finds fulfillment in helping others, enjoys camping, quality time with family, and dad jokes.
I HAVE BEEN AND CONTINUE TO BE… inspired by healers, teachers and therapists who are further along the healing and human potential path than myself.
I am motivated, excited and passionate about being a part of the Atkins Health multidisciplinary team. My intention and focus is to contribute to the team by helping people achieve their health, fitness and well being goals and to live the life they choose optimally.
My education is ongoing in life, as Life and the people in our lives are always teaching us. Formally, I have post graduate qualifications in Exercise and Sport Science as well as Massage Therapy and Business. It brings joy to both my clients and I to experience and see the freedom that comes with the relief from pain that often comes from the massage treatments I provide. Many of my clients tell me I have “magic hands” and an intuitive insight into the source and location of their myofascial pain.
I invite you to experience one of my massage treatments, when you’re ready to move further along your journey toward optimal health and wellness.
Growing up I have always been physically active and have always enjoyed team sports the most with my favourite’s being Touch footy and Outrigging. Initially I undertook a Bachelor of Exercise Science with the goal to become a Physiotherapist. After completing a subject which enabled me to complete work experience with an Exercise Physiologist, I found what I truly wanted to do. Since graduating with my Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology in 2016 I haven’t looked back and truly love waking up knowing this is what i get to do for a job. Most of us have had an experience with a mental health condition one way or another and the impact it can have. Mental heath is an area of Exercise Physiology that I am extremely passionate about and the benefits exercise can have on an individuals mental health. I am also currently undertaking a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling to hopefully be able to combine my love for exercise and the mental health aspect.
